Why I'm Building a Legal Career and a Dev Career at the Same Time

The question I get most

Why study law and write code at the same time? The honest answer is that I started freelancing in 2015, long before law school, and neither path made sense to drop once the other started.

Where they actually overlap

Legal research and debugging use the same underlying skill: break a problem down, question your assumptions, and work from evidence to a conclusion instead of guessing. Moot court taught me to structure an argument under pressure — that's the same discipline as structuring a technical explanation for a client who isn't technical.

What I'm not doing

I'm not treating either as a fallback for the other. The development and SEO work is real client work, not a side hobby, and the LLB isn't a formality — it's building the research, writing, and argumentation skills I actually use.

Where it's heading

I don't know yet whether the long-term path is legal practice, legal tech, or something that combines both — and I'm fine leaving that open while I keep building real experience in each.
